The C-H Handbag Project

My much beloved C-H handbag will not live forever AND how about other colors so... with the "bonded" leather in hand, I set off to create another.

Here's the originial




















Pattern pieces (green tape is on the originial size-bigger is better right?)

Here is what I have to date - a basic body (soon to be another color -- so the black stiching will end up be what ever color the final color of the bag will be)




















Pieces parts of the bag -- hanging out waiting for the leather dye to come in the post -- as I forgot to sew in the half front pocket on the above bag, things were looking kinda bland SO... the double ended points in the picture below will go on the sides/around front for some va va voom. The single point will come over the top (I promise this bag is going to end up looking HOT trust me)








PS the single point is dyed in the bronze leather dye -- changed my mind in mid-project -- am thinking a metallic black (until my current bronze back dies)

STILL waiting for my leather dye.... worked on "buttons" that will go on the tabs

Buttons out of black polymer clay -- roughed out -- with Dremel in hand, sanded the edges out of embossing and baking

Went over the embossed areas with bronze pigment, then sealed with acrylic sealer

(have to learn how to use my camera--flash blurred image) BUT am pleased with the result.

Off to check my mailbox for leather dye-- L8R
